MTP CAMEX-4 Daily Check List

No-Fly or Fly Day
1) Enter Daily Instrument Status Report: Go to the
CAMEX-4 Home Page
and click the
Reporting
button. In theUsername list select MTP-DC-8 and enter the
correct password. On the left side of the display, enter the correct
MTP status and comments, if necessary, and then click the Submit button
. Repeat this for Username MTP-ER-2.
2) Attend Science Team Meeting if there is one, and collect any handouts.
Fly Day
1) Enter daily Instrument Status Report (as in step 1 above)
2) Attend Science Team Meeting which follow weather briefing.
3) Do ER-2 preflight
, if ER-2 is flying.
4) Do DC-8 preflight
, if DC-8 is flying.
5) Attend ER-2 preflight meeting.
6) Attend DC-8 preflight meeting. Collect flight plan and put in a new flight
folder for the flight. Label the folder: DCYYYYMMDD CAMEX-4 01-04NN,
where NN is the last two digits of the flight number assigned to the flight.
7) For either aircraft, stay present at Hangar 116 until DC-8 takeoff or
ER-2 launch has occurred.
8) During the flight, stay at Hangar 116 or have beeper handy in case of
early return of either aircraft.
9) On DC-8 landing or ER-2 recovery, retrieve PCMCIA Flashcards as described
elsewhere.
10) Attend ER-2/DC-8 post-flight debrief. Collect ER-2 flight plan and put
in a new flight folder for the flight. Label the folder: ERYYYYMMDD CAMEX-4
01-NNN, where NNN is the three digit ER-2 flight number assigned to the flight.
11) Do Quicklook Analysis
