Click on the CRYSTAL-FACE calendar date to examine an enlarged (800x600)
GIF image of the thumbnail. The enlarged GIF images range in size
from 30 - 50 kB. The number below each image is the flight number,
NOT the calendar date! This is provided to simply life for those who work
in that co-ordinate system. This will be done after final calibration
of the radiometric data, which will occur after the mission is completed.
The color-coded temperature curtains (CTCs) display the temperature field (as represented by the color bar on the right) as a function of pressure altitude (km on left, kft on right) and Universal Time (in thousands of seconds). The WB-57 pressure altitude is shown as the black trace. Clicking on flight number links will show the WB-57 flight track, which is labelled on kiloseconds.
Regarding the Use of these Images
The preliminary CTC images below are presented as an aid for other CRYSTAL-FACE scientists to understand their data. They may not be used by other individuals for any purpose, or referred to, without written permission from MJ Mahoney of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. For more information, go here .
